Thanksgiving Weekend

Wednesday, December 3, 2014

After our exciting stay in San Diego, we made our way to 29 Palms. I’ve read that 29 palms is in the middle of nowhere and that it is all desert, well I’m here to confirm that. People don’t have to worry about mowing grass that’s for sure.  We went the first night to get groceries for Thanksgiving and the days we were there, I think we had to drive 30 minutes to the local Wal-Mart. Crazy!!

The next day we took our neice to the park. It is so precious getting a glimpse into my future and seeing Chad being so protective with Lily. He would tell Lily to slow down, you’re running to fast. I’m definitely going to be more of the relaxed one.

On Thanksgiving Chad cooked the Turkey and Ham, which was delicious of course, and we had green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, stuffing, macaroni and cheese for the sides. It was a perfect Thanksgiving away from home.

After we got back to Oklahoma we immediately went to get Karl. He was exhausted from the Kennel and passed out in the car as soon as we got home as well as slept all weekend long. Daddy might have caught a few z's as well

To wrap up our weekend we went grocery shopping, we spent the most we ever spent on groceries because we were out of EVERYTHING. We gave Karl a bath and boy did he need it. Finally, I made goulash on Sunday with home-made bread and breakfast for the week ahead.  Oh and I almost forgot, we also put our Christmas tree up.
