Weekend Recap

Monday, December 8, 2014

Our sister-in-law and niece from California will be staying with us for the next week since her baby shower was this past weekend. So this weekend was a busy one. The first night they were here i read Lily a bedtime story and man I could get use to that sweetness.

Chad went to go hunting on Friday so us girl had a little girls night. We went to Hobby Lobby, Wal-mart to grab a few last minute shower items and then called our mother-in-law to have Mexican for dinner.

Saturday I woke up and took Karl for a little run. At first when Jordan and Lily arrived he didn't know what to think of people in his house especially a little human at his eye level. He's now starting to come around and playing with Lily. In fact he was such a good boy when she wanted to play dress up with him.

After our run i made some yummy homemade donuts which were Lily approved!! Once Jordan took a shower, I put Karl outside to use the restroom and of course he stepped in poop, just my luck. You might think I'm a horrible parent but I can not stand the smell of dog poop. Every time Karl gets poop on him Chad has to get it off because I just can not do it. Good news is he just got it in the kitchen and not on the carpet. So if you can picture it I'm about to throw up holding my shirt over my nose and saying woo we, then I look over at Lily and she's doing the same thing, too cute right. We get Karl in the bath tub to rinse the poop off and then stick him in the bathroom while I mop the kitchen floor. Why does this stuff happen when Chad is gone?

I was running about 30 minutes behind calling my mother-in-law in a panic because I forgot to plan for games. Like always she came through for us. The baby shower turned out beautifully and Jordan was glowing.

Saturday night I made homemade laundry soap. I can not wait to write a review about and share it with you.

We finally got to take our family pictures on Sunday due to sickness and weather. Really late Bethany, I know. I think all the attention really wore this fur ball out.

I made mashed potatoes that morning and I think someone really liked them. Oh I can't wait for moments like this. After dinner Chad introduced Lily to one of his all time favorite movies, home alone 2. I think he and Jordan enjoyed it more than Lily by the laughter I heard from the other room.
