The first and second days of the diet were rough. I might have cheated and ate some caramels. By the third day, I was really starting to not feel so hungry all the time or have the cravings for all things sweet and salty.
My secret to continuing the diet is to plan your meals out. I made a meal plan for the week that listed our breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack for the whole week. This has really helped us stick to it and not have any excuses when it comes to “what’s for dinner”. My other secret is that I have a cup of hot coco almost every night. I make it with Almond milk so it’s Paleoish, but it really helps me get through the day knowing I have something to look forward to at night.
Here’s just one dish that I whipped up during this week:
Tuna Patties
3 5 oz. canned tuna with Water
2 eggsSea Salt
Coconut Oil
Mix together your Tuna, eggs, and sea salt. Melt your Coconut oil in a
skillet over medium-high heat. Drop your tuna mixture in the skillet forming
patties. Cook until light brown on both sides
Lemon-Mayo sauce
½ cup Miracle Whip
Lemon JuiceMinced Garlic
Mix together in a bowl. Serve with Tuna Patties. Also good if you mix
in the Lemon-Mayo Sauce with the Tuna Patties.
Serve with Squash. Heat coconut oil in a skillet throw in some squash and cook until tender. Toss with some sea salt.
