Chad and I kept going back and forth on what we were going to do for a
babymoon this time around. We always knew we would stay around the Tulsa area
but we were debating on getting a hotel room for the night or not. The closer
we got to our babymoon and the further we got behind on the nursery, we decided
to stay around the house and get some work done on the nursery. I’m so glad we
did even if we stayed up until midnight to do it. We both took Friday off and my
mother in law came to pick Grady up around 2:30 for him to spend the night.
That evening we ate at Flemings in Tulsa and of course got steak. We’ve tried a
few prime steakhouses in Tulsa and have a few more to try and although the
steak was delish and the service was just as good we both decided that it was
last on our list for the prime steak houses we have tried. They did give us
some of the best chocolate truffles as a present which was so nice of them.
Although I’m pretty sure it was out of sympathy. After dinner we went shopping,
I cannot tell you the last time I was in a store past 8:00. It was actually
really nice and quiet.
The next day we probably only slept in an extra 30 minutes, funny how
that works, and headed out to breakfast. Chad and I went to a pre-marital counseling session after marriage a few years ago and our therapist mentioned to not
talk about kids while on a date. Do you know how hard that is? Dang near impossible.
After breakfast we about had enough of
each other (only kidding) and went to go pick up our baby boy! Nothing is
sweeter than seeing your child grin from ear to ear when you walk into the
room.
