Weekend Recap

Monday, October 20, 2014

It was one of those weekends that just flew by, but really every weekend is like that now a days. Friday we went to a bachelor/bachelorette party. It was really low key, since they were getting up Saturday to go to Kansas City. Chad and I couldn’t attend Saturday night so we just went for Friday night. I cannot wait to show you the present I gave her tomorrow!

Saturday I woke up early and traveled with my mom to go to a family reunion. It is hard to get with extended family other than Christmas and Thanksgiving since we live about 2 hours away from everyone. It was nice to catch up with cousins and also reconnect with great aunts and uncles I haven’t seen in about 10 years.

Can I just say that I am so in love with green vests for the fall. I purchased one off Jane.com(absolutely love this site) and could not wait to wear it. Luckily it came in a day earlier and I was able to wear it to my family reunion. So in Love!

We finally were able to go to the pumpkin patch on Sunday and got pumpkins for us and one for Karl. Chad complained basically the whole time but I think he enjoyed himself.

We also finished the nightstands I purchased from IKEA, so excited that our bedroom is finally coming together. We purchased a bedroom set right after we got married but the nightstands that came with it were too long for the space between the bed and window. I found some off IKEA.com that were perfect. We found the same stain as our bedroom furniture and finally finished staining; I can’t wait to finish decorating.

Yet another week is upon us and so happy my mom made cinnamon rolls for us. YUM
