I was terrified to have a newborn again. The sleepless nights, the
constant worry, etc. Don’t judge me for saying this but the newborn stage is
not my favorite stage. However, the transition to a family of 4 has been
surprisingly smooth. Audrey is such a good baby and will give me about 4 hours
of straight sleep at night each night. And Grady has been so good with her, he
loves to give her kisses. I have always heard that having 2 kids is like having
20 but in all honesty for me having 2 kids has been easier. I struggled with post-partum
with Grady and I literally could not put him down or leave the room without
him. But after having Audrey, Grady keeps me sane(as crazy as that sounds). He
makes me get up out of bed in the mornings and actually eat and go outside.
Also, Chad’s been amazing I’ve been feeding Audrey on demand instead of putting
her on a schedule just yet so I will give Grady a bath and Chad will put him to
bed and then get up with him at night if need be. It’s funny I felt more
prepared with Grady but actually was less prepared when he was here. I guess
there is a thing with being too prepared for a baby or maybe it’s just called trying
to do everything.
