Weekly Meal Plan #1

Monday, August 24, 2015

Weekly meal plans are something we have been really trying to stick with lately, but eating out and living dangerously close to a convenience store, make this hard to do. Below was our last week’s meal plan.

Breakfast – Breakfast Burritos (this is one of our favorites for breakfast)
                1 lb cooked sausage
Eggs (I do 12 eggs for 5 days for 2 people)
                Cheese
                Tortillas
                Tator Tots (fried or baked)
                Veggies (optional)
                *** This makes 10 burritos

SundayMeatloaf with steamed broccoli (We'll use ground turkey instead of beef)
Monday – Sausage Alfredo
                1 cup heavy cream
                ½ cup butter
                ½ cup shredded Parmesan cheese
1 box of noodles (I’m not a big fan of fettuccini noodles my favorite is Penne with Alfredo)
                Kielbasa

Heat butter in heavy saucepan over medium heat; slowly add cream, stirring constantly. Continue stirring until sauce has begun to thicken slightly. Slowly add shredded Parmesan. Continue stirring until parmesan has melted and sauce has thickened to desired consistency. Add Kielbasa to sauce.

Tuesday – Pizza (I always buy a frozen pizza or a bag of viola when I go grocery shopping for those “don’t feel like cooking nights or when you have to go run an errand when you get home nights”)

Wednesday – Left overs
ThursdayRanch Chicken
Friday – Left Overs
SaturdayChicken Fried Rice

Dessert – Ice Cream (I have a weakness for sweets so we normally always have some sort of dessert in the house)
(Yes that is a fry daddy, prefect for Chicken Wraps, etc.)

23 weeks

Tuesday, August 18, 2015

How far along: 23 weeks
Gender: Boy
Weight gained: 5 pounds
Best moment of the week: Purchasing a new truck for Chad! Chad used to have just a single cab pickup truck, which worked great for just us 2, but with a baby on the way not so much. We were able to save up enough to purchase the truck with cash and also with a deal we couldn’t pass up.
Miss anything: Fall, it’ll be 75 degrees here in Oklahoma tomorrow, which sure is temping me with everything fall
Movement: He’s getting to be an active little guy mostly in the mornings and at night after we are home from work
Cravings: Ice cream here and there but still no 'have to have it right now' cravings
Queasy or sick: Feeling great
Looking forward to: Our doctor’s appointment on Thursday.

22 weeks

Monday, August 10, 2015

How far along: 22 weeks
Gender: Boy
Weight gained: 5 pounds
Best moment of the week: I felt him kick and definitely knew what it was this time.
Miss anything: Fall, Sushi, adult beverages, being able to sleep through the night without waking up at 3 am wide awake.
Movement: I’m able to feel him move every now and then although Chad has only been able to feel him once
Cravings: salty food and water
Queasy or sick: Feeling great
Looking forward to: Going to Florida for Labor day, getting our wood floors, and of course seeing our baby at the end of the month.

Karl's 2nd Birthday

Friday, August 7, 2015

Our precious fur baby turned 2 Wednesday. I have a little too much fun celebrating his birthday for him, I live for it!! Can't wait for a human birthday party to plan.

We had a teeth cleaning scheduled in May but someone decided to get sick instead and I've been apprehensive about scheduling another one for him. I really don't like the idea of them having to put him under. So for his birthday presents he got Greenies, and a Nylabone Dental Chew which he absolutely loves.

This year he got a doggy cake and doggy ice cream! He's one spoiled and lucky puppy. He LOVED both the ice cream and cupcake, they were gone in 2.5 seconds devouring the cupcake whole.

Check out his 1st birthday here.

Karl's 2

Wednesday, August 5, 2015

Hard to believe that our little fur baby is 2 years old already (insert tear). He’s had a rough year with 2 trips to the emergency vet, one minor and one major, a few bad haircuts but all the love from mommy and daddy.

We love you to the moon and back, attention hoarder, seat stealer, chicken nugget thief, and cuddle buddy. You are the best puppy and you’re going to be best big brother to your little brother. This year is going to be the best yet.
