Nursery Inspiration

Shit just got real!!! We just purchased his crib and I all of a sudden got a reality shock that we will be bringing home a baby in 4 short months. Holy smokes its coming up quick.

I’m in love with the Woodland theme for nurseries and luckily Chad is too! Here is a little inspiration for Grady’s nursery.

Crib: I purchased the crib from Amazon and then noticed it doesn’t come with the toddler rail or full-size bed conversion kit. Oh well

Glider: We’re going to Kansas City and stopping by an ikea. Thank goodness for ikea and pinterest. I fell in love with a glider that was around $1,000. Definitely not in the budget I found that you can convert an arm chair from ikea into a glider for only $250. Can’t wait for this project, don’t worry I’ll post the results

Dream Big Little One

Here we go, let the adventure begin!

20 weeks

How far along: 20 weeks

Gender: Boy

Weight gained: 5 pounds

Best moment of the week: Going to our doctor’s appointment and knowing everything is great with our bundle of joy. He’s weighing in at 13 oz and looking perfect.

Miss anything: Being able to sleep on my back

Movement: A few kicks here and there nothing consistent yet

Cravings: Salty foods and Ice cold water

Queasy or sick: Feeling great

Looking forward to: Registering next weekend

19 weeks

How far along: 19 weeks

Gender: Boy

Weight gained: 2 pounds??? We will see when we go to the doctor. I suddenly can't get enough food.

Best moment of the week: Celebrating Chad’s birthday, even though we didn’t do anything big it was nice to order Chinese and relax around the house

Miss anything: The cooler weather! Being pregnant in the summer is for the birds

Movement: I feel little fluttering’s and a few kicks here and there

Cravings: salty food and water

Queasy or sick: Nope just a couple of headaches

Looking forward to: Our doctor’s appointment on Thursday. Can’t wait to check on our little baby, every 4 weeks is not enough

18 weeks

How far along: 18 weeks

Gender: Boy

Weight gained: 2 pounds

Best moment of the week: Getting to meet our baby nephew for the first time.

Miss anything: A glass of wine and sushi!

Movement: I feel something in there

Cravings: Salt and ice cold water

Queasy or sick: Nope

Looking forward to: Celebrating Chad’s birthday

17 Weeks

How far along: 17 weeks

Gender: Boy

Weight gained: 2 pounds

Best moment of the week: Reading to Grady

Miss anything: A good night sleep. My burst of energy occurs in the morning time especially on the weekends 

Movement: I’m starting to feel something in there

Cravings: Anything with salt

Queasy or sick: still feeling really good

Looking forward to: Buying the crib and starting to put the room together

Gender Reveal

We had an AMAZING gender reveal. I couldn’t have asked for a better turn out, food, weather, etc. We normally do sometime big for Chad’s birthday every year so in place of that we decided to have a big party to celebrate the sex of our baby!!

We went with a Tutu and Bowtie theme with smoke bombs to reveal. Chad and I knew the sex beforehand and did a pretty good job of keeping it mum before the reveal.

We also had a cake for plan B; you never know how the weather is going to turn out here in Oklahoma. 

The smoke bomb worked perfectly!
